Senior Healthcare Recruiter
Job Description
Location: Downtown Brooklyn, NY (on-site)
Onsite requirement: 5 days/week for first 90 days, after that, may earn 1 remote day/week based on performance metrics
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Salary: $75,000–$85,000 base + Commission + Benefits (Paid Holidays, PTO, employee-contributed 401(k), etc.)
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship
About the Role
A Brooklyn-based staffing firm is hiring a true full-desk (360) recruiter with a headhunter mentality—someone who can source and engage talent (not “post and pray”), operate confidently on both sides of the desk, and help support a portfolio of City/State agency clients (plus a smaller private-client portfolio).
This is a primarily contract staffing environment with meaningful emphasis on post-placement management and retention of talent on assignment.
What You’ll Do
- Run 360/full-desk recruiting: business development + recruiting delivery + stakeholder management.
- Proactively source and recruit healthcare talent (and some non-clinical roles), including passive candidates.
- Take on account management responsibilities and help support/expand existing client relationships.
- Own full lifecycle recruiting: intake/qualify, interview coordination, feedback, negotiation, and close.
- Manage post-placement success: support retention and performance of talent on assignment.
- Contract staffing focus: ideally has managed ~12+ contractors on billing at once.
- Maintain strong workflow hygiene in the ATS and support accurate pipeline/activity tracking.
- Navigate VMS-driven client processes.
- Use AI tools as part of day-to-day productivity (company uses Microsoft Copilot within Office 365).
Must-Haves
- Demonstrated history of 360/full-desk recruiting (client + recruiting), not recruiting-only.
- Strong sourcing capability (outreach, networking, passive talent strategies).
- Client-facing confidence and experience with account management and/or business development.
- Contract staffing experience with post-placement / on-assignment management.
- Experience using an ATS, job boards, and social recruiting.
- Traits: good humor, emotionally intelligent (“read the room”), scrappy/resilient, professionally curious.
- Exposure to state/local government clients and/or working a public-sector portfolio.
- Familiarity with VMS environments (Vector experience a plus).
- Healthcare (contract, long-term): RNs, Nurse Practitioners, Medical Assistants, Phlebotomists.
- Non-clinical/non-healthcare: Senior Accountants, Tax Accountants, Paralegals.
- Plus a smaller portfolio of private clients.
