Selling Branch Manager, Staffing - Atlanta, GA

The Selling Branch Manager is responsible for all aspects of branch performance with regard to revenue growth, profitability, employee development, culture and service excellence. The Selling Branch Manager is actively engaged in market development through cold calling, client visits, networking and successfully providing creative, marketing and digital staffing solutions.

Business Development Responsibilities:
  • The Selling Branch Manager will run a personal sales desk and is responsible for further development of existing clients as well as prospecting and selling to new clients.
  • Making a high volume of telephone prospecting calls, following up on warm leads, email marketing, networking, client meetings and client drop offs to generate business.
  • Meets weekly activity and outcome metrics and goals.
  • Continuously develops a pipeline of prospective clients.

Branch / Staff Management Responsibilities:
  • Actively leads revenue-generating activities and sets the tone as an involved Selling Branch Manager.
  • Hiring, mentoring, motivating, training, and evaluating branch employees. 
  • Creates and maintains a positive culture reflective of the company’ s values.
  • Conducts regular 1-1 meetings with all direct reports.
  • Strives for service excellence and talent and client loyalty to assist branch. 
  • Monitors and provides feedback to staff on their weekly/monthly goals.   This includes ensuring all employees meet weekly activity metrics.
  • Oversees the classification of company call cycles while following the company' s sales  process.
  • Cultivates and distributes new leads to Business Development Managers.
  • Attends client meetings with Business Development Managers to conduct consultative meetings with contacts to introduce staffing services, evaluate staffing needs and uncover account potential.
  • Leads open order meetings and ensures open orders are prioritized appropriately and filled in a timely manner.
  • Leads sourcing, recruiting, hiring and talent placements within branch.
  • Monitors interview schedule to ensure candidate flow matches anticipated openings.
  • Interviews candidates and fills orders in the absence of Recruiter.
  • Services all branch clients in the absence of Business Development Manager(s).
  • Continually educates oneself on both the staffing and the creative industries through industry publications, online research, association events and competitor sites on recruitment best practices, staffing industry news and information specific to the core areas in which we do business.
  • Collaborates with management on strategic and tactical sales initiatives to further identify opportunities in the marketplace.
  • Negotiates terms of staffing contracts, placement fees and bill rates.
  • Performs regular quality control checks with clients to ensure our value of Service Excellence is being met.
  • Works with Controller to approve all new business credit extensions in the branch.
  • Works with internal corporate departments for marketing campaigns, accounting details, IT issues and other special projects.
  • Manages the branch P&L to ensure profitability targets are met.
  • Performs other duties and projects as required.

  • 5 years of experience working within a sales environment and 3 years of staffing and employee management experience.
  • Successful new business development and account management experience within the staffing industry.
  • Must be comfortable and have experience in a metrics driven environment.
  • Passion for the creative, marketing and digital space.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • Valid Driver’ s License.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • A strong work ethic with a desire to succeed.
  • Must thrive in a fast pace, deadline driven environment.
  • Must be comfortable and have experience in a metrics driven environment.
