Sales Executive - Behavioral Health Staffing
Job Description
Sales Executive - Behavioral Health Staffing - Remote
Our client is growing a Behavioral Health Staffing division and is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition and build job-order pipeline through disciplined, high-volume outreach.
This is a role for someone who is energized by numbers, activity, and outcomes—and who also brings real credibility in behavioral health staffing (BCBA/RBT/BHT/LSW and adjacent allied/healthcare roles). The environment is process-, KPI-, and tool-heavy; adoption of systems is non-negotiable.
What You’ll Do
New Business Development (Core of the Role)
-
Build and continuously refine a target list of ~50 prospect accounts (ideal customer profile fit) and systematically work contacts to generate job orders.
-
Conduct high-volume outbound outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn, text) to break into new facilities and multi-site operators.
-
Run discovery calls to uncover urgent pain points (coverage pressure, turnover/callouts, caseload fluctuations, burnout) and convert needs into active requisitions.
-
Prospect into facility types including: clinics, private practices, therapy offices, treatment facilities both outpatient/inpatient, residential treatment, SUD, detox/rehab, autism service providers, community centers, and similar settings.
Process, Tools, and Data Discipline
-
Document activity and next steps thoroughly in the ATS/CRM throughout the full client life cycle.
-
Operate inside a transparent KPI environment (activity, conversion ratios, pipeline stage movement, opportunities/contracts sent, etc.).
-
Use AI responsibly and effectively for client research and messaging to improve speed and efficiency.
-
Participate in structured outreach campaigns and sequencing; collaborate with leadership to improve talk tracks and conversion performance.
Relationship Development / Field Activity
-
Build relationships with operational and clinical decision-makers; earn trust quickly and set expectations.
-
Attend onsite client visits local to you when it will accelerate the deal and strengthen the relationship.
Required Background
-
Strong behavioral health staffing sales experience with subject-matter credibility across roles such as BCBA, RBT, BHT, LSW, LPC (plus allied/adjacent healthcare roles as needed).
-
Proven ability to:
-
Build a target account list and systematically break into accounts.
-
Hit high call and email volume consistently.
-
Work in a metrics-driven sales environment with coaching, scorecards, and accountability.
-
-
Understanding of how to sell into behavioral health hiring structures and decision makers (COO/ops/clinic leadership, not hospital systems).
-
Opportunity tracking from client visits through proposal/contract stage.
Compensation & Benefits
-
Base: $80,000–$100,000 (DOE) plus commission plan.
-
Comprehensive benefits + PTO, including 401(k).
