Our client, a Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) that delivers IT services at federal government agencies across various programs is looking for an experienced, motivated, and creative Federal Account Manager to join their team.
You will be part of the federal sales team and be responsible for selling Resource Deployment services (Human Capital Acquisition). Our client leverages their deep technology capabilities; along with their past performance to help their clients enhance their capture and execution on both existing and future programs and pursuits
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new partnering opportunities in the government contracting space. You will work closely with the Resource management team to ensure that they are delivering exceptional service to the federal government and their partners.
Responsibilities:
- The Account Manager is responsible for managing growth for a federal market portfolio.
- Identify and develop new teaming partners opportunities as appropriate for specific opportunities after conducting competitive assessments of opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in potential partner organizations.
- Develop and maintain an awareness and understanding of core capabilities, solution offerings.
- Develop and execute sales strategies and tactics to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Conduct research to identify potential partners and stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with our team of consultants and recruiters to develop proposals and respond to RFPs.
- Manage and grow existing partners by providing exceptional customer service and identifying new opportunities for growth.
- Meet regularly with partners to understand their needs and ensure that our services are meeting their expectations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and partner interactions in their CRM system.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of sales experience and 5+ years of experience in sales and account management in the IT consulting/ staffing services space, federal experience a plus.
- Proven track record of success in generating new business and growing existing accounts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience using a CRM system is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Compensation: $100,000-$150,000 Base with aggressive upside incentive and ability to earn equity for top performers.
