Our client is hiring a senior sales leader to lead and grow an established IT contract staffing business. This is a highly visible, critical hire focused on market share growthnew client acquisition, and team development—with a mandate to elevate the business from strong delivery to stronger, more strategic sales execution.

This role is for a builder: someone who can assess current-state, create a plan, open doors, coach performance, and help the team win larger, stickier client relationships (MSAs, mid-market focus) while partnering tightly with recruiting/delivery.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Lead & develop the sales/account management team

  • Lead a team of Account Managers; set expectations, coach execution, and drive performance.

  • Establish sales quotas and effective account plans; mentor and hold the team accountable.

  • Partner with leadership to hire and grow the sales team in Raleigh (and support the Charlotte market).

Drive business growth

  • Coach the sales team to acquire new customers and expand within existing accounts to increase gross margin and market presence.

  • Participate in high-value client opportunities and help close/expand business.

  • Guide the team toward a strategic, consultative selling approach, not transactional selling.

  • Support core sales operations: call planning, CRM discipline, account allocation, and sales cadence.

  • Serve as a local point of contact for coverage, team needs, and basic leadership items.

Required Background / Ideal Profile

  • IT contract staffing experience is required.

  • Proven success in lead generation, discovery, qualification, and value-based selling in staffing.

  • 3+ years of leadership experience

  • Track record of building/growing a book and leading teams to higher performance; comfortable with accountability.

  • Strong communication/presentation skills; able to influence clients and coach sellers.

  • Business/financial acumen (profitability, pricing, planning).

  • Ability to build relationships, set expectations, and resolve conflicts

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Compensation & Incentives

  • Base salary: $130,000–$150,000.

  • Commission: Tiered plan based on team gross margin performance.

  • Uncapped earning potential.

Tools / Environment
Our client is tech-forward and expects leaders to leverage modern tools (CRM rigor + AI-enabled workflow). The team uses tools and AI enablement for sales preparation and execution.
