Regional Sales Manager, PEO Sales - Houston, TX
We’re seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead a team of Business Consultants selling PEO services, HR outsourcing solutions, and workforce management offerings to small and mid-sized businesses. This includes administering payroll, benefits, workers' compensation and core HR management. This role is ideal for a high-energy sales leader with a strong background in B2B sales, consultative selling, and team leadership. What You’ll Do
- Lead & Develop a High-Performing Sales Team
- Recruit, hire, coach, and develop Business Consultants to drive new business sales and achieve or exceed quotas.
- Deliver ongoing training on sales techniques, product knowledge, and competitive differentiation in the HR outsourcing market.
- Hold team members accountable to activity metrics, pipeline standards, and performance expectations.
- Identify emerging leadership talent and collaborate on succession planning.
- Drive Sales Results & Business Growth
- Support the team in generating 3–4 new quality appointments weekly through prospecting, cold calling, lead generation, and territory development.
- Oversee consistent use of a structured sales process and consultative selling approach.
- Guide the creation of tailored proposals showcasing PEO value components such as payroll, HR support, employee benefits, and risk management solutions.
- Ensure accurate CRM usage, pipeline tracking, and forecasting for new client acquisition.
- Build strong referral networks with CPAs, accounting firms, bookkeepers, enrolled agents, brokers, and other centers of influence.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technical discipline and/or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years demonstrated leadership success selling PEO services, HR outsourcing solutions, or workforce management offerings to small and mid-sized businesses. This includes administering payroll, benefits, workers' compensation or core HR management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective work habits: conscientious, resourceful, persistent, and productive.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High initiative, creativity, urgency, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to lead, coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable. Minimum 5 years leadership experience required.
- Ability to attract and develop top-performing sales consultants.
- Proficiency with Outlook, MS Office, and CRM systems.
