Travel Nurse Recruiter /Recruiting Manager, Healthcare Staffing  - Remote
Must have Travel Nurse Recruiting experience

The Travel Nurse Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing qualified travel nurses with healthcare facilities nationwide. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, exceptional communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced staffing environment. The recruiter will manage the full recruitment cycle—developing pipelines, coordinating assignments, and ensuring an excellent experience for both candidates and clients.

 

Key Responsibilities
Candidate Sourcing & Talent Pipeline Development
  • Source travel nurses through job boards, social media, referrals, networking, and database searches.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of qualified RNs, LPNs, and allied professionals for high-demand specialties.
  • Proactively identify and engage new candidates to support client staffing needs.
 
Recruitment & Screening
  • Conduct phone screens and interviews to assess clinical experience, availability, and assignment preferences.
  • Verify credentials, work history, and licensure requirements.
  • Match candidates to open travel assignments based on skills, experience, and client specifications.
 
Placement & Assignment Coordination
  • Present job opportunities and guide nurses through pay packages, contract terms, housing options, and travel logistics.
  • Submit candidates to client facilities and coordinate interviews or offers.
  • Support credentialing, compliance, and onboarding processes prior to assignment start.
  • Work closely with account managers and credentialing teams to ensure timely placement and contract fulfillment.

 

Relationship Management
  • Build long-term relationships with travel nurses to encourage retention and redeployment.
  • Provide ongoing support during assignments, ensuring nurse satisfaction and addressing issues as needed.
  • Partner with clients to understand their staffing needs and ensure exceptional service.

 

Administrative & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the ATS/CRM.
  • Meet weekly recruiting metrics including submittals, interviews, and placements.
  • Stay current on market trends, state licensing updates, and healthcare industry developments.

 

Qualifications
  • Previous recruiting experience preferred (healthcare or staffing industry a plus).
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable using ATS/CRM systems, job boards, and digital sourcing tools.
  • High-level professionalism, integrity, and follow-through.
