Market Director -  Light Industrial- Detroit, MI

5+ years staffing industry experience required. Candidates should be local with flexibility to travel across the region. Hybrid role with branch and client-site presence expected.

Our client, is a global leader in workforce solutions, delivering talent across commercial, professional, and industrial sectors. In the Detroit market, they’re looking to strengthen GP, optimize team performance, and navigate evolving industry dynamics.

We’re hiring a Market Director to oversee and elevate this mature market across multiple sites.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead $17.5M in revenue across Livonia, Warren, and client sites.
  • Manage and coach Account Managers, Talent Advisors/Recruiters, and AEs.
  • Drive GP, revenue growth, and EBITA improvement.
  • Expand client relationships and deepen share in existing accounts.
  • Spearhead change management across a long-tenured, comfort-zone team.
  • Support multiple staffing verticals: light industrial, electronics assembly, BPO, professional.
  • Understand and leverage VMS/ATS and staffing technology.
  • Maintain visibility with corporate leadership.

What We’re Looking For:
  • 5+ years of staffing P&L leadership ($10M+ market).
  • Experience managing multi-site operations and on-site staffing.
  • Strong sales orientation with demonstrated business development success.
  • Proven ability to lead and transform legacy teams.
  • Knowledge of light industrial staffing and margin improvement strategies.
  • Comfortable with VMS, recruiting platforms, and tech-enabled staffing.
  • Metrics-driven, with focus on GP, fill rates, NPS, client retention.
  • Collaborative and corporate savvy.

Required Skills:
  • Deep experience in commercial or light industrial staffing.
  • P&L, budget ownership, and operational leadership.
  • Competence in recruiting, sales management, and team leadership.
  • Familiarity with VMS/ATS and staffing reporting systems.
