Managing Director, Retained Search Practice
Job Description
Our client is a highly reputable and established Retained Search Firm with a niche focus in Data Science. They are seeking a Managing Director to act as a player coach to continue to drive growth in the division, leading an existing team of Executive Recruiters and working very closely to develop and drive new business.
This unique opportunity will allow you to walk into an organization with a solid foundation as well as being known for being thought-leaders in the industry.
What you’ll do:
- Production: Drive executive recruiting efforts, focusing on sourcing and placing top-tier AI and Data Science talent.
- Accountability: Keep executive recruiters accountable for meeting targets and maintaining high standards of service.
- Escalation Point: Serve as a point of escalation for complex client or candidate issues, ensuring resolutions are reached effectively.
- Data and Analytics Focus: Understand the data and analytics industry, leveraging insights to inform recruitment strategies and decisions.
What you need:
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of success in the retained executive search industry.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Strong understanding of data science and analytics, with the ability to effectively communicate with industry professionals.
- Prior experience working with high-profile clients and managing relationships.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
- Proven ability to thrive in a high-growth and fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to actively contribute to the company's partnership with Women in Data Science.

Beginning her career as an on-site manager in Lenexa, Kansas, Jennifer has experience recruiting in multiple geographies throughout the U.S. with expertise recruiting in the IT, Legal, Accounting and Finance, Administrative, Manufacturing, Light Industrial and Healthcare verticals. Jennifer is a graduate of Kansas State University and a mom of three. She loves traveling, playing games with her family, and Friday night date nights with her husband.
