Managing Director, IT Staffing - New York City

5+ years IT Staffing Sales experience required

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual for the position of Managing Director. This role will be responsible for leading and growing a division within our client’s organization. The ideal candidate will have a track record of winning contracts, starting and managing divisions, and building successful teams. What you’ll do:
  • Take full ownership and responsibility for the growth and success of the division.
  • Identify and pursue contract opportunities to secure new business and expand the division's client base targeting companies that use IT Staffing resources.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Grow a team of recruiters and sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring their professional development.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering exceptional service and solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align divisional goals with the overall company strategy.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, competition, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Implement effective operational processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance within the division.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the executive team on divisional performance, including financial results, key metrics, and progress against strategic objectives.
  • Act as a strong advocate and representative of the division, both internally and externally, promoting its services and value proposition.

What you need:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably as a Senior Account Executive or Business Development Manager looking for the next step in your career.  
  • Demonstrated success in winning business selling directly to hiring decision makers.
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of sales, recruitment, and operational strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and identify innovative solutions.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets and objectives.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced environment.
