Human Resources Manager, Staffing Firm 

Based in Charlotte, NC but 100% remote.

Our client is a highly reputable and well-established woman-owned staffing firm based in Charlotte, NC. With a niche focus in Engineering, they are seeking a Human Resources Manager to work closely with the leadership team.  if you are looking for a highly collaborative culture working in the filed of HR, this is the role for you! 

What you’ll do:
  • Lead two HR coordinators in their day to day duties and responsibilities.  
  • Perform HR Coordinator tasks on Mondays & Tuesdays during time-sensitive timesheet/expense report collection.
  • Conduct onboarding and terminations for both field and corporate employees.
  • Address employee concerns and conflicts in a professional manner.
  • Oversee various HR tasks such as audits, client reports, and census.
  • Spearhead process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the Employee Engagement Committee and organize corporate events.
  • Extend offers to field employees, conduct intro calls, explain onboarding process, and send written offers.
  • Conduct onboarding for new employees, setting up necessary platforms and documentation.
  • Manage timesheet processes and send out details.
  • Conduct terminations for field employees as required.
  • Update documents in the onboarding platform, Red Carpet.
  • Manage HR-related projects such as handbook updates and process efficiencies.
  • Interview internal candidates and potentially recruit them.

What you need:
  • Bachelor's degree required, SHRM certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of multistate HR laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of sick time laws, workers' compensation, and payroll.
  • Experience in managing or leading HR staff.
  • Comfortable with hands-on HR Generalist tasks.
  • Ability to handle employee concerns and diffuse tense situations.
  • Proficient in prioritizing HR Coordinator tasks.
  • Deep understanding of labor laws and ability to provide advice on complex HR issues.
  • Familiarity with international HR considerations such as job postings in Canada and visa implications.
  • Experience with 401(k) audits and California pay reporting data.
