Director of Compliance – Hospitality Staffing

Our client, a nationwide leader in hospitality staffing, known for providing rapid, reliable workforce solutions across multiple states is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director of Compliance to lead and evolve our compliance function. 

Role Summary
As Director of Compliance, you will be responsible for maintaining and strengthening their compliance framework across multi-state operations. You’ll ensure alignment with labor laws, safety standards, wage regulations, E-Verify, and internal protocols while serving as a proactive partner to operations, HR, and executive leadership. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and evolve compliance policies for federal, state, and local labor regulations, wage & hour law, and workplace safety.
  • Lead audits and ensure readiness for agency inquiries or client compliance checks.
  • Maintain and manage compliance tools and documentation systems.
  • Partner with Operations and HR to proactively train teams, reduce risk, and foster a culture of compliance.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory changes in the staffing and employment space.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and internal advisor to leadership and field teams.
  • Oversee any compliance-focused personnel and vendors.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation.

Ideal Background
  • 5–10 years of compliance or legal experience in staffing, hospitality, logistics, or similar industries.
  • Strong understanding of multi-state labor and wage & hour regulations.
  • Experience with safety, E-Verify, I-9 compliance, and employment audits.
  • Effective communicator and relationship builder; able to lead cross-functionally.
  • Proven ability to build scalable processes in a fast-moving environment.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus, not required.
  • Compliance certifications (SHRM-CP, OSHA 30, etc.) are helpful but not mandatory.

Compensation
  • $110K base.
