Chief  Financial Officer, Professional Staffing

Our client, a rapidly growing full service professional staffing and recruiting firm, is looking to add a CFO to their executive leadership team. This is a strategic opportunity to directly impact the continued growth of on organization!

In this role, you will:
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization' s fiscal function and performance.
  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Participate in the development of the corporation' s plans and programs as a strategic partner
  • Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CEO/President, the Board and other executives in performing their responsibilities. 
  • Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation. 
  • Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges. 
  • Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline.
  • Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets. 
  • Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position. 
  • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs. 
  • Update job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Management of the Finance department, including direct supervisor of the controller and the indirect supervision of other employees in the Accounting and Finance department.

Preferred experience:
  • MBA and/or CPA 

Minimum positional qualifications:
  • BS in Accounting or Finance
  • 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles
  • Demonstrated excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting
  • Skill in examining, developing, re-engineering, and recommending financial, HR, and technology policies and procedures
  • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model
  • A hands-on manager with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic, mission-driven environment
  • An effective communicator, with strong oral and written skills
  • Strong commitment to developing team members
