Business Development Director, Biotech/Pharmaceutical Staffing - Remote Role

General and Daily Responsibilities:
  • Identifies and develops new business relationships, creating pitch opportunities and obtaining new business wins in order to achieve annual new business income targets. 
  • Responsible for reviewing and managing pipeline information and market assessments to identify potential new business leads, growth opportunities or future competitive trends.
  • Work very closely with senior management and sales account service team members to identify, pursue and close deals.
  • Generates and manages outbound organic and inorganic business development outreach may also be responsible for managing inbound non-proactive opportunities above and beyond her/his required target key accounts.
  • Responsible for managing her/his own business development.

Qualifications/ Requirements:
  • Bachelor' s degree with at least 5+ years of experience in the healthcare staffing industry in a sales, marketing, commercial operations and / or BD capacity preferred.
  • 10+ years on the client or service side or 7+ years in a selling capacity selling to pharmaceutical industry sales /marketing or operations decision makers preferred
  • Graduate or terminal degree will be viewed as a plus
  • A demonstrated network of industry contacts and a track record of closing commercial business partnerships / deals. Demonstration of her/his network maybe required prior to employment
  • Demonstrates strong character / business ethics, particularly work ethic, integrity and honesty
  • Strong communication and presentation. Ability to travel, both local and/or air travel may be required at time
  • Ability to work non-conventional work day, e.g. morning / evening programs, office requirements
