Accounting Manager
Job Description
Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant in the Charlotte, NC area to join their corporate leadership team. This is a highly reputable, well-established boutique recruiting firm with a niche focus in placing Engineering contractors across the country with both private and government entities. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and self-motivated to ensure you meet deadlines and performance goals in addition to being collaborative team focused.
What you’ll do:
- Perform month-end closing procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Review payroll, and process monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll taxes for multiple states (experience preferred).
- Collaborate with outside consultants to learn and implement Deltek Costpoint ERP system (highly preferred).
- Serve as a backup for payroll processing and accounts receivable functions.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior accounting staff.
- Provide support for Controller tasks as needed, including financial analysis and reporting.
What you need:
- Proven experience in month-end closing and accounts reconciliation.
- Familiarity with payroll processes and experience with payroll taxes (preferred).
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
