Business Development, Professional Staffing
Job Description
Our client is hiring a Business Development Manager to help grow new client relationships and expand existing accounts across the DC market. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hunting for new business, building relationships with hiring managers, and partnering closely with recruiting delivery.
What you’ll do:
- Build and execute a business development plan to generate new staffing opportunities (contract and direct hire).
- Prospect, network, and open doors with hiring managers and decision-makers with government contractors in the private sector.
- Develop and manage a pipeline from first conversation through req intake, client management, and expansion.
- Partner with recruiters to ensure strong delivery and a high-quality client/candidate experience.
- Represent the firm through client meetings and relationship-building activities (including hosting events where appropriate).
- Track activity and pipeline (Salesforce exposure is helpful).
What you need:
- Strong communication, credibility with clients, and comfort with proactive outreach.
- B2B sales experience, with professional staffing sales experience a huge plus.
- Proven performance, meeting or exceeding sales goals year over year.

Beginning her career as an on-site manager in Lenexa, Kansas, Jennifer has experience recruiting in multiple geographies throughout the U.S. with expertise recruiting in the IT, Legal, Accounting and Finance, Administrative, Manufacturing, Light Industrial and Healthcare verticals. Jennifer is a graduate of Kansas State University and a mom of three. She loves traveling, playing games with her family, and Friday night date nights with her husband.
