Client Development Executive, IT Staffing
Remote role-Prefer Indianapolis or Nashville locations
The Client Development Executive is a senior-level sales professional responsible for driving strategic business development within a defined account or portfolio of accounts. This role focuses on expanding and deepening executive-level relationships while shaping long-term account strategy and growth. The individual operates at a consultative level, engaging C-suite, VP, and Director stakeholders to uncover enterprise-wide opportunities. In addition to direct revenue responsibility, this role serves as a mentor and coach to junior sales professionals, enabling a top-down sales approach that builds credibility, access, and sustainable account penetration.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Development
- Own and execute strategic growth plans within assigned accounts
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-level, VP, and Director-level stakeholders
- Identify enterprise-wide opportunities and position solutions aligned to client business priorities
- Drive complex, multi-threaded sales motions across client organizations
Executive Engagement & Influence
- Serve as the senior point of contact for executive stakeholders
- Lead executive-level conversations that elevate from transactional selling to strategic partnership
- Translate executive priorities into actionable sales strategies for the broader account team
Sales Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor and guide junior sales professionals on account strategy, deal execution, and stakeholder engagement
- Introduve and sponsor junior sales team members to Director-level contacts to enable access to line managers and operational leaders
- Model best practices for top-down selling and consultative engagement
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with delivery, operations, and account leadership to ensure aligned client outcomes
- Support deal structuring, solution design, and executive-level proposals
- Act as an escalation point for strategic account issues as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in senior-level sales, strategic account management, or enterprise business development, selling large scale professional services and staffing engagements
- Demonstrated success selling complex solutions within large or mid-market accounts
- Experience engaging and influencing C-suite, VP, and Director-level stakeholders
- Prior experience mentoring or leading junior sales professionals
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required

Special Requirements:
- Ability to operate effectively in a highly visible, relationship-driven role
- Willingness to travel for client meetings as required (up to 25%)
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and influencing without direct authority
- Ability to balance individual contribution with leadership and mentorship responsibilities
Compensation includes $90K base with upside incentive commission incentive.
