The Creative & Digital Team of our client  is heating up, and looking for a stellar business development individual to join their high-achieving and fast-growing  team! They specialize in placing creatives in roles that are Freelance, Freelance-to-hire and Direct Hire. Their role expertise includes  design, front-end development, UX, online marketing, social media and mobile skills (and everything in-between!)

Here' s what Creative Business Development gurus are responsible for:

  • You must be a farmer- seek out the companies that are hiring, differentiate our firm and services from the competition and consistently deliver

  • Reach  out to clients (existing and potential) to land meetings and expand our brand through their diligent sales efforts

  • Work  with our Salespeople  and Recruiters to strategically grow the  NYC  market by breaking into new accounts, growing existing accounts and leveraging your relationships to continually form solid, lasting and fruitful business relationships

  • Understand  your clients and their needs/environments so that you can truly paint a picture of what types of candidates they need (and pump up your teammates) when roles come in

  • View the Recruiter + BD relationship as a true partnership- deliver on your responsibility of getting vetted, solid and fillable roles in that will excite your teammates

  • Deliver  exceptional customer service through account management and consistent efforts

  • Participate in continual learning (events & seminars)  with professionals within the creative & digital  community 

  • Respond  to incoming client requests with remarkable speed (same day, same hour!) and actively marketing solid candidates to CREATE opportunities

We are looking for:

  • A HUNTER! You should thrive off of the excitement that comes with finding and successfully bringing onboard new clients

  • These four key traits: confidence,  sense of urgency,  drive &  business acumen

  • You know (and can explain) how to “ mushroom” existing client accounts to grow business, as well as how to break into new accounts through helping these customers grow their business, ideally in the digital creative space

  • A steady work history

  • Someone who has been successful at prior roles and who knows (and can explain) their own value

  • Someone who incorporates a number of methods to gain new business from existing clients as well as finding new clients (lead follow up, relationship building, etc)

  • A   team player with an  entrepreneurial spirit

  • Experienced (3-5 years) with staffing industry experience at least

  • A lover of all things digital and creative

  • Experienced with quick turnaround for clients and impeccable follow

  • A self-starter who is internally motivated by opportunity! Although our client is a very established recruitment firm, their creative division is new and comes with a lot of the nuances associated with a startup. What does this mean? The tools are in place in general to  be successful, but it is important that each new team member is
    -   Hungry to succeed
    -   Able to see the " big picture" and the HUGE opportunity this role has in terms of growth, promotion, money associated with the " long game"
    - Able to get " scrappy"- the things they are currently working on and learning as they go are because each team member has an " all hands on deck" mentality- no job is too beneath or above anyone
    -   They are a team growing together and creatively implementing solutions that help them overcome obstacles and everyone must be interested in being a part of this mentality

  • Able  to “ think creatively” when it comes to getting feedback from clients, uncover opportunity, leverage  your background and set  up meetings
